About Larry

Larry BridgesLarry has a Bachelor of Music Education with a Vocal Major, and a Master of Arts in Vocal Performance. He began his career in dinner theater. Some of Larry’s expertise has been in various positions such as music director of the New Christy Minstrels and Ralph Andrews Productions for Columbia Pictures Television.

Larry Bridges has been teaching voice since 1971. His students have played in bands such as Bonnie Raitt; Crosby, Stills, Nash; Poco, Bruce Hornsby and the Range; and Steppenwolf. He has also coached Gary Wright (“Dreamweaver”) and Michelle Johnston, who had a lead in A Chorus Line: The Movie. He has been a member in good standing of the National Association of Teachers of Singing since 1978. He taught for years at the International Theater Festival and does his “Anyone Can Learn to Sing” and “Become a Better Broadway Belter” workshops for schools and festivals around the country.
